is there any age limit for doing LLB in India. Please indicate the places from where LLB can be pursued by a person who is already working.

there is no actual age limit for the LLB course and I ahd seen people working doing it and completing it on time... The university mostly state run have a law cell in there caplital associated with varous collages... there are also designated collages for laws.. just goggle Law collages in India and the rest is your choise and selection.

The maximum age for a student who desires to pursue three years law is 30 years and for five years LLB is 20 years.

LLB stands for Bachelor in Law and to get admission in this course, you need to cracked the CLAT Entrance Examination.

CLAT Stands for Common Law Admission Test and it is an all India entrance examination conducted by 14 National Law Schools/Universities for admissions to their under-graduate and post graduate degree programmes LLB and LLM.

~~ To apply for LLB Course, you need to complete your Intermediate examination or its equivalent qualification from a recognised Board with not less than 50% marks in aggregate.

~~ If you have appeared in the 12Th examination and are awaiting results, then you are also eligible for CLAT.

~~ You should not be more than 20 years to apply for CLAT Examination.

The Notification of CLAT Examination was already Published and the Last date of apply for this examination 31/March/2012

Eligible candidates may fill the CLAT Application form Online also.

There is no upper age limit for studying law .

Educational qualification for 3yr LLB is Bachelors Degree.
For 5yr LLB it is +2 with minimum of 45% aggregated score in 12th.

As you have already appeared for entrance...You just need to verify your qualifying exam details in councelling.

Applications are invited for the entrance examination for admission to three year LL.B course 2012-13in Govt Law Colleges at Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Kozhikode
Eligibility

Nativity: Applicant should be an Indian citizen

Academic Qualifications: Candidate seeking admission to the course should be a graduate in any faculty of any University in Kerala or of any other Universities recognised by any of the Universities in Kerala as equivalent thereto
He/she should have passed the Bachelor’s degree examination with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate (45% marks for all the parts of the degree examination taken together)


However candidates belonging to SC/ST category need only 40% marks in the qualifying examination
Candidates who are appearing/have appeared for the qualifying examination (regular examination of academic year 2011-12) are also eligible to apply for the entrance examination
Such candidates become eligible for admission only if they produce the provisional/degree certificate and mark lists of all parts of the qualifying examination at the time of admission

Age: There is no upper or lower age limit


Entrance Examination: To qualify in the rank list for admission to three year LL.B course, a General/ SEBC applicant should get a minimum of 10% of total marks in the entrance examination and a candidate belonging to SC/ST category should get a minimum of 5% of total marks out of 600 in the entrance examination
The entrance examination will be conducted at Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Kozhikode on 22nd July, 2012, Sunday,from 10.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m.
It will be of 3 hours duration and will consist of 200 multiple choice questions
The questions will cover General Knowledge, English and Aptitude for Legal Studies

How to apply: Candidates seeking admission to the course can apply online on the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations
The website will be opened for online registration from 20th June, 2012 to 02nd July, 2012, 05.00 p.m

Seats: The institution wise allotment will be made by Commissioner for Entrance Examinations in accordance with the rank obtained by the candidates in the Entrance Examination and the order of preference of institutions registered by the candidates during Centralised Allotment Process (CAP)
The details of CAP will be notified in the website and in leading news papers
Individual intimation in this regard will not be sent to candidates
The entrance examination and subsequent allotments will be based on the provisions laid down in the prospectus for admission to three year LL.B course, Kerala 2012-13, approved by the Govt
The prospectus will be available in the official website of the Commissioner for entrance examinations www.cee-kerala.org
Candidates should go through the prospectus before submitting their applications


Admit Card: The candidates registered for the examination can download their admit cards from the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in from 12th July, 2012 onwards
The admit card thus obtained should be brought to the examination hall
Application Form: For General and SEBC candidates, the application fee is Rs 600/- (Rs six hundred only) and for SC/ST candidates, the application fee is Rs 300/- (Rs three hundred only)
The required fee can be remitted at any branch of the State Bank of Travancore using the Bank Challan which is available in the online application print out
The original Challan duly signed and authenticated by the bank authorities should be attached along with the print out of the application form
Candidates outside Kerala state can remit the application fee by attaching a demand draft for the requisite amount drawn on a Nationalised Bank in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram


Application Submission: Candidates should take printout of the online application and affix a self attested passport size photograph, identical to the one which has been uploaded, in the space provided
This application along with the required documents should be forwarded to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Housing Board Buildings, 5th Floor, Santhinagar, Thiruvananthapuram-695001, either by registered post or by hand delivery so as to reach the office before 05.00 p.m. on 03rd July, 2012
The envelope containing the application should be super scribed Application for three year LL.B entrance examination 2012-13
Belated, incomplete and defective applications will be summarily rejected and no correspondence will be made in this regard
The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations will not be responsible for any postal delay

LLB is a years long law course offered in India for which candidate must have completed graduation. Now coming to your question regarding places where person working can pursue the degree.


I believe you are hinting towards correspondence/distance education mode. I am sorry to say that while some colleges do offer this type of degree, it is not accepted by the Bar Council of India.


Bar Council of India has made it very year that it will only accept candidates with one of the two degrees. These degree are:


BA LLB (5 years)

LLB (3 years)


Unfortunately none of these two degree courses are offered in distance education. Even if some college does, it won't be recognized by the Bar Council of India. And without the approval of bar council of India, you can not practice in a court as lawyer anywhere in the country.


So if you want to become lawyer, you will have to go for regular degree. I know it is impossible to do so with the job. But that is how things stand. Please check the crtieria below before apply for the LLB course.



Eligibility

1. A graduation degree in any discipline.

2. Minimum of 45 percent marks in graduation.

3. At least 40 percent marks for SC/ST.

4. The age limit is 30 years for LLB course.

5. There is 5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates.



Once you have crossed the age limit, there is no way to pursue LLB.

The age limit for BA LLB and LLB course is different and you must have the required age if you want to join the course.

-For BA LLB the age must not be above 20 years of age. This course is of 5 years duration and you should be 10+2 passed from a recognised board of education.
