Age requirements for EAMCET 2016
I was born in the December of 2000. Presently I am studying for IPE 2016 for Intermediate 2nd year. I also decided to write the EAMCET 2016.
As I read, for MBBS/BDS aspirants, the eligibility is not met if the applicant is below 17 years of age which happens to be my case. I wanted to know if this criteria must be necessarily met in order to write the exam. I can meet the other criteria but this one. Is the age an essential criteria? If so, can I not write the EAMCET 2016? Must I wait for another year to write the exam? |

Re: Age requirements for EAMCET 2016
EAMCET stands for Engineering, Agriculture and Medical common entrance test held by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University for the selection of students for their B.tech, B.E., MBBS, BDS, B.Agri etc. courses from the colleges of Andhra Pradesh.
The qualifications required for appearing in the same examination are as here under :- * A higher secondary degree with science stream ( for engineering courses Mathematics must be main subject where as for medical courses Biology must be the main subjects along with Physics and Chemistry ) from a institute of Andhra Pradesh. * Your age must be over 17 years till the 31st December of that year in which you are appearing for the same examination. Here no provision of upper age limit. Now, as per your date of birth you will be only 16 years old by the end of year 2016 so you are not eligible for the EAMCET 2016 as the age criteria is the important factor for selection in any field. So you will have to wait for EAMCET 2017 to get yourself enrolled in your desired courses. For more details regarding the same examination you can log on its official link i.e; www.apeamcet.org. |

Re: Age requirements for EAMCET 2016
EAMCET is the Common Entrance test conducted for admissions in Engineering, Medical and agricultural courses. This is the state entrance test of Andhra Pradesh Government.
For the medical courses like MBBS/BDS, the eligibility criteria is: Candidate must have studied 10+2 from a recognized board equivalent to AP Intermediate board or Telegana. Those who are appearing for 10+2 exam, can also give this exam. The age limit for the candidates is 17 years minimum on the 31st December of year of admission. Yes it is essential criteria to fulfill if you want to appear for this exam. So, if your age is not 17 years on 31st December of 2016, then you can not appear for the EAMCET 2016. |
