CA CPT 2016 notifications has been released recently.

Important Dates for CA CPT 2016 are:

• Last Date to register with ICAI for CPC course - 1 Oct 2016
• Availability of application form for CA CPT Dec 2016 from - 06 Oct 2016
• Last Date of application form submission - 27 Oct 2016
• Admit Card download - yet to be announced
• Date of Exam - 18 Dec 2016
• CA CPT Result announcement - yet to be announced

CPT Examination includes:

• Section A - Fundamentals of Accounting - 60 marks
• Section B - Mercantile Law - 40 marks
• Section C - General Economics - 50 marks
• Section D - Quantitative Aptitude - 50 marks

CA-CPT stands for Chattered Accountancy-Common Proficiency Test. CPT examination is an entrance examination conducted by ICAI for offering admission to CA course.

To be eligible to appear in CA-CPT 2017 examination, you should have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination from a recognised board. There is no age limit.

You can apply for CA-CPT 2017 examination through online at ICAI official website http://icaiexam.icai.org/.

CA CPT means Chartered Accountancy Common Proficiency Test.

Common Proficiency Test is gateway to CA course and a candidate must clear after 10+2 to enter into this course. It is conducted by ICAI in June and December every year.

1. Minimum academic qualification required for this examination is senior secondary passed or appearing.

2. This is an objective test and consists of questions from aptitude, mercantile law, fundamentals of accountancy, economics. There are 200 questions, 50 questions from each subject. You must score 30% marks in each subject and aggregate of 50% to clear this exam.
