Yes, graduation is enough to apply for banking sector jobs. Very recently IBPS has invited applications from graduates for the profile of bank P.O. Though they have mentioned a minimum of 60% marks in the job notification, they revised it later as no specific percentage of marks is required to apply. Upper age limit is 30 years. You can also apply for the position of bank clerk up to the age of 28 years.

You are eligible for banking exams. You can apply for the IBPS Clerk entrance exam while you are also eligible for SBI Bank PO entrance exam. You can also apply for the SBI Clerk but since you are eligible for Bank PO, there is no sense in doing that.

Institute of Banking Personnel Services (IBPS) conducts Clerk exam for 19 Public Sector banks. It also conducts the Bank PO exam but you are not eligible for it. You can apply only for the Bank Clerk entrance exam.

IBPS Clerk Eligibility

1. You need to have completed graduation.

2. Passing marks is all that required.

3. Must have diploma/degree/certificate in Computers.

4. You can apply if studied Computers/IT subject during High School/college.

5. Age limit is 20 to 28 years.

6. 3 years of relaxation for OBC.

7. Upper age limit is 33 years for SC/ST.

8. The relaxation is 10 years for PWD.

Apart from it you can apply for the SBI Bank PO. However please beware that government has issued fresh recommendations for Bank PO. It includes having 60 percent as marks criteria in graduation for the exam.

IBPS has accepted it which is why you are not eligible. State Bank of India is yet to do so. Therefore you are eligible as for now but if SBI accepted the recommendation that you won't be able to apply for the Bank PO.

SBI Bank PO Eligibility

1. Candidate must have a graduation degree.

2. There is no criteria for marks.

3. Age limit is 21 to 30 years.

4. OBC relaxation is 3 years in upper age limit.

5. Five years relaxation for SC and ST.

6. Ten years relaxation for PWD.

Yes you are eligible to sit for banking exams for both the post of probationary officers and clerical cadres. Since the basic eligibility criteria says that a graduate degree is more than enough for these posts mentioned above therefore you are eligible without an iota of doubt.

The one exam which all looks forward to when it comes to banking exams are IBPS CWE exam. Firstly let me tell you that the notifications for the IBPS Clerk exam and PO exam is already out. The registration process of the IBPS PO exam is over and the exam is expected to take place some time in October.

As far as the IBPS Clerk exam is concerned the last date for making application for this examination is 7th September. So if you want you can still apply for this year's IBPS clerk examination.

For the post of PO earlier 60% of marks at graduation level was mandatory. But not anymore. According to the revised eligibility criteria just a graduate degree is required and computer literacy is also not mandatory. According to the changed criteria the age limit has also become 20 to 30 years.

The eligibility criteria of the IBPS clerk exam remains the same. Along with a graduate degree, working knowledge of computer is mandatory. Apart from that proficiency in local language of the State where you are intending to apply is also required. Age has to be between 20 and 30 years.

Hope this helps :-> :->
