Every company has its own placement criteria. Since you have 1 backlog this may or may create an obstacle for you in recruitment drives at your campus. For some company, the eligibility criterion to sit for campus recruitment drive is minimum 60% throughout i.e. 60% in 10th, 12th and B.Tech with no backlogs.

However, for some company you may be eligible as they will allow you to sit for the placement drive and if you succeed in Interview will require you to clear your backlog before the date of joining the job.

I advise you to clear your backlog as soon as possible as this is the high time to grab a good career opportunity. Because, once you will complete your B.Tech, this carryover tag will trouble you if not resolved in time. So, it is no good crying over split milk later.

Although you are not eligible for campus interview in Microsoft or TCS or IBM like MNC's as you have less than 60% in 12th examination .But you can surely apply other MNC companies like

--> Mindtree

--> Syntel.

--> HCL

--> Cognizant.

--> LNT.

Eligibilty Criteria for those companies are

--> At least 50% in 10th,12th and B.Tech.

--> Good communication skill.

--> Not more than 2 years year gap.

Selection Process:

* Aptitude Test.

* Group Discussion.

* Technical Interview.

* HR Interview.

So do not worry try some of the above companies you will surely crack one of them.
