Yes you are eligible to write this entrance examination.

The student appearing for cat must hold a bachelors degree with atleast 50% marks in general category and 45% in the case of SC/ST etc.,

The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in the bachelor's degree would be calculated based on the practice follwed by the university/institute from where the applicant has obtained the degree.

Candidates who are appearing for the final year of bachelors degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who completed degree requirements and are waiting for results can also apply.

IIM's will verify the eligibility at various stages of selection process.

This is all about the selection and eligibility criteria need to be fulfilled by the candidate

All the best for your entrance

Regards

You need to have a minimum of 50% in your Bachelor's from a recognized university.
Since you have scored less than 50% your not eligible for CAT.

If your from SC/ST category you just need 45% in your Bachelor's degree due to the relaxation provided.

so you are eligible for this post.

all the best,keep working hard.

Hey friend,

CAT - Common Admission Test

Yeah you are eligible for writing the CAT exam as you satisfy the percentage part of eligibility criteria. The other eligibility criteria are:

Eligibility:

The candidates must have a degree with 50% aggregate from a recognized university. For SC/ST candidates it is 45%.
The candidates who are writing their final degree exam can also apply.

The percentage of marks got by the candidate in their respected degree will be calculated based on the practice followed by the respected institution from where the candidate has obtained the degree.

If the candidates have obtained grades instead of marks they will be converted into marks based procedure by the university/ institution where they got the degree.

Thank you.
