Am I eligible for CDS after graduating in engineering?
i m sayan dutta. my date of birth is 01-11-1993. after my 4 years graduation in engineering whether i will be eligible for cds?

CDS stands for Combined Defence Service and Final year students in graduation are also eligible.This exam is conducted every year by Union Public Service Commission. Yes, you are eligible to apply for CDS after Graduation in Engineering.
COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE(CDS) entrance exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as CDS-I and CDS-II to join Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy of CDS. To be eligible for CDS one must be an unmarried Indian National having either appear for Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education or Engneering from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 25 years with good Physical and Mental physique. The candidate having Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Engineering Graduate can apply all the four wings of CDS but the candidate having without the above subject can only be eligible to apply for IMA and OTA. In Thematic Apperception Test you will be asked to write a story based on a picture given to you. In Word Association Test you will be asked to make sentences. And lastly the group test will comprise of almost 10 candidates approximately and this group will be asked to take part in group discussion, group planning and other outdoor tasks. CDS exam conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) two times in a year. Eligibility for IMA:- The candidate should be complete bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognised university. The age limits are 19 years to 24 years. No age relaxation. Eligibility for NA:- The candidate should be complete Bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognised university. Percentage is not required. The age limits are 19 years to 22 years. No relaxation in age. Eligibility for IAF:- Candidate should have to complete bachelor's degree in Engineering from any recognised university. Applicant's age should be in between 19 years to 23 years. No upper age relaxation. Eligibility for OTA The applicant should be complete degree in any stream from a recognised university. The applicant's age should be in between 19 years to 25 years. There is no upper age relaxation. Selection process: Written exam, Personal interview, Medical test.
