Re: Am I eligible to give IBPS Exam after scoring 50.46% of marks in 12th Class?
It really depends of which exam do you wish to appear for. The Class 12th is the eligibility for IBPS Clerk exam. Unfortunately you are left little short to appear in that exam. But there is no reason to lose hope. If you really want to work in the banking sector then there is another option for you but that opens after you complete graduation course. I will write in details about this.
The meaning of IBPS is Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. The job of IBPS is to conducted entrance exam for the job in PSU banks in India. PSU banks mean Public Sector Undertakings Bank, you can also call them government banks. There are total of 19 Public Sector Undertakings Banks. Some examples are: State Bank of India Indian Overseas Bank Punjab National Bank Syndicate Bank Eligibility for IBPS Clerk Exam:- As I mentioned earlier, Class 12th is the eligibility for clerk exam, which I think you were talking about in the question. You need to pass 12th from a recognised board with at least 60 percent marks to appear in IBPS Clerk Exam. If you belong to SC/ST/OBC then you require to score 55 percent marks in 12th board. Unfortunately in both case you fell way short of the target. Therefore the option in front of you is complete graduation course and go after IBPS PO exam. PO exam is for the posts of Probationary Officer / Management Trainee in PSU banks. Eligibility for IBPS PO Exam:- You should be Indian National A graduation course in any stream from recognised university. Age limit is 20 to 30 years for General candidate. OBC - 20 to 33 SC/ST - 20 to 35 years. This is the option in front of you. You can go for graduation course followed by PO exam. Alternatively you can appear in CBSE 12th Improvement Exam and try to improve your percentage to 60 percent. |

Re: Am I eligible to give IBPS Exam after scoring 50.46% of marks in 12th Class?
Irrespective of your percentage of marks in your 12th class, you are not eligible to give IBPS Exam.
The reason is minimum academic qualification that is required for the candidates in order to apply for IBPS Exam is Graduation. One should have completed Graduation in order to apply for both Clerical Positions PO Positions through IBPS recruitment. The selection procedure for IBPS Clerical or PO recruitment will be Written Exam Interview The written exam consists of questions from the following categories Reasoning Numerical Ability General Awareness General English Computer or Marketing knowledge The exam pattern is same for both the positions but the thing is that the depth of questions is high in the case of PO Exam. Depending upon the marks that are secured by a candidate, he will be eligible to attend or not to attend for the Interview. Interview is the final phase of selection procedure. The age criteria for IBPS PO Positions will be 21-30 years of age for General category. Relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category Relaxation in upper age limit upto 5 years for the candidates of SC or ST category. So, what I want to tell you is to complete your Graduation first. Then only you are eligible to apply for Bank Jobs. Along with your Graduation, concentrate in preparing for Bank Exams also by joining in a coaching institute. Then you will get the bank job easily. Many of the candidates will not get success in Bank Exams due to lack of proper guidance. Here I have provided you good guidance I think so. Make most out of it. Wish you all the best. |
