i am a student of standard 12th and my height is 5 ft 7 inchs and wt is 56 kg and has a eye power of -4 on both eye.so am i fit for joining indian army.

the minimum eligibility for army selection is ..
you should be 12th pass....ie. should be at-least 17yrs old.....
you can.
1)join it as an sipahi after completing your 10th.
2) write the NDA exam after 12th and can become an officer .
3) write the CDS exam after completing your diploma or degree.
Physical Standards : The applicant should fulfill the following physical standards -
Height should be 167 cms.
Weight should be 50 kgs.
Chest should be 77/82 cm.
The general health should be free from all the communicable, infectious disease, medical or surgical deformities.

sir, im very interested to join in defence services, and my qlf are 10 2 3 2 i.e inter, degree with bcom and pg with mba. and im also winner in kabaddi in inter college competition and runner in throw ball competition . and also selected as cadet captain with ncc in indian NAVY, got 2 gold medals in all india firing and drillacompetition silver medal for boat pulling competition.

Yes,you are Eligibly for Indian Army,as you have finished 12th class and if your age is also between 16 1/2 to 19 years,then you can apply for NDA exam.

National Defense Academy (NDA) exam is conducted by upsc twice in a year to intake qualified Candidate for different department in Defense service like Indian Airforce, Indian Navy,Indian Army etc.

NDA-I and NDA-II exam are conducted twice in year, because the person who was not able to attend for NDA-I exam, he can apply for NDA-II exam in the same year, without having gap between the education.

NDA-I exam notification for this year:
Issue of application form from 31st Dec 2011 to 30th Jan 2012.
Exam will held on 15th April 2012.

NDA-II exam notification for this year:
Issue of application form from 5th May 2012 to 4th June 2012.
Exam will held on 19th Aug 2012.

You want to join in Indian Army after completion of 12th, for that you want to appear in NDA exam..
They mention some eligibility criteria to appear in NDA exam.. So you have fulfill all the criteria to appear in NDA exam..

Eligibility:-

For Army wing:-
*The candidate must have complete the 12th in any stream or its equivalent from a recognized state education board..

For Naval an air force wing:-
*The candidate must have complete the 12th with physics and maths from a recognized state education board.

Age eligibility:-

*The age should be in between 21-30 years..

Physical fitness requirements:-

*The candidate must be physically fit...
The weight must be in proportion with the hight..
SO, as you have mention that your hight is 5 feet 7 inchs, that means 170 cms. then your weight should not be less than 52.5 kg for the army wing..
You have mentioned that your weight is 56kg then you are eligible..
so, go for it..

Eligibility for Indian Army

i am so sorry my friend but you are not eligible for joining the Indian Army as the minimum requirement is to have a perfect eyesight but your eyesight is a bit weak..so even if you appear for the NDA or SSB,you will be eliminated in the medical examination round..

Yes.you can join the Indian Army after passing 12th.

to join in the Indian Army after passing 12th, you have to give the NDA exam.

but you need the following criteria to appear in the NDA exam.

>>only male candidate are allow.

>>you must 12th with science with PCM subjects combination.

>>minimum 60% marks in class 12th exam.

>>age limit 16.5-19 years.

>>minimum height 165cm.

if you have the following criteria then you can appear in the UPSC-NDA exam.

dear friend, you did not mentioned your qualification.Here if you have passed your 12th standard examination then you are allowed to be an INDIAN ARMY.
There is an examination named NDA which is held by UPSC.You will have to be appear for that.

Condition and Terms :

You must pass your 12th standard examination from a recognized university with PCM and you have to score minimum 60% marks in your 12th standard examination.Your age must be within 18 to 28 years.

Yes you are eligible for the Indian Army. You can apply for the Indian Army as an officer after the 12th class through National Defence academy examination.
The NDA examination is conducted by the UPSC twice in a year.

For the NDA examination candidate should be 10+2 pass. Those appeared in the 10+2 exam are also eligible to apply for this examination.

For the NDA examination candidate age should be between 16.5 to 19 years.

The acronym for NDA is National Defence Academy
NDA has three wings

Indian army

Navy

Indian air force

The eligibility criteria required for this examination are prescribed as below:

1.Completion of 12th with pass marks

2. Age limit: 16.5-19 years

3.Sex: Male

4. Marital status: Single

5.Nationality: Indian

6.Physically and mentally fit
The total exam is of 900 marks in two papers,Math for 300 marks in 2.5 hrs & general ability test which is further divided in two parts,part A English of 200 marks & part B general knowledge of 400 marks.

Out of 900 marks,50% marks may be considered as the qualifying marks which vary every time.

The cut off must be from both papers individually.

Apart from the above,one must be physically fit & should not have colur blindness.

Only unmarried male candidates are
eligible.

Girls are not eligible for this exam.

This exam conduct by UPSC.
