After completing 10th examination you are not eligible to apply for Indian Army examination but after completing your 12th examination you are eligible to apply for Indian Army.Because minimum qualification for this examination is intermediate(12th) from a any recognized School or equivalent qualification.So first complete your 12th examination then apply for Indian Army examination.

After completing intermediate(12th) examination you have to crack the NDA examination to join in Indian Army.NDA Stands for National Defence Academy Examination and this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice in a years.This year NDA I notification was already released and it is available in the official website of UPSC as well as employment news papers also.NDA examination is conducted for recruitment of Army wings,Navy wings and Air force wings.

To apply for NDA examination,the candidate must have a minimum 16.5 years and maximum 19 years at the time of appearing for this examination and Unmarried male candidates are also eligible to apply for this examination.Those who are pursing in the final year of 12th examination may also eligible to apply for this examination.

So,first complete your 12th examination then you are eligible to apply for Indian Army.

After completion of your 10th standard , you are eligible for join Indian Army in many post are there like

Constable
Sundry
washer
cook

Also you are eligible for CISF ,CRPF ,BSF ,ITBP ,RPF and State Police because those organization are recruit the candidate from 10th standard.

But the better option for you to go for 12th standard.After completion of your 12th standard you are eligible for NDA exam.

The eligibility criteria for NDA exam is given below.

1.) 10+2 pass candidates with physics , chemistry , maths with a minimum of 70% marks.

2.) Age limitation is 16.5-19 years.

3.) The eyesight should have 6/6.

4.) The height should be 157.5 cm with 5 cm chest expansion.

If you have completed your graduation degree then you are applicable for CDS, UES , NCC SPECIAL Entry exam.

After 10th you are not eligible to apply for Indian Army of NDA, so you can apply for this after 12th if you are interested for Officer post.


NDA - NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II for entry in to three wings of NDA i.e. Indian Army, Navy and Air Force.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian male within the age of 16.5 to 19 years of age having either appearing for the final 12th exam or passed from any stream from a recognised Central/State Board with good physical fitness is eligible to apply for NDA.

The process of registration for NDA-I has already been completed the exam will be held on 15.04.2012.

But after 10th you can join Army as a soldier through direct recruitment in the respective State Army Head Quarter.

U can join Army after 10th & you are eligible too.
But if u wait & go after 12th it would be quite better for u.After 12th standard you are eligible for NDA exam.
For NDA exam

-Age limitation is 16.5-19 years.
-The eyesight should have 6/6.
-The height should be 157.5 cm with 5 cm chest expansion.

12 th commerse pass se mai indian army ke liye nda extrance exam dila sakta hoon . DEAR NDA SIR JI

Now I am 16 and reading in class 11 how can I join Indian army without NDA as a clerk or Nursing Assistant

I am retire army JCO. My daughter pass BA and result just received. Now any course further like BEd , HR or any can do from Army Education
