NIMCET is a national level entrance test conducted by NITs for admission to their MCA programme. This examination is conducted every year and to apply for this examination you have to complete your Bachelor’s Degree of full time 3 year duration from a recognized University with any one of the following as one of the subjects : Mathematics / Business Mathematics / Discrete Mathematics / Mathematical Foundations of Computer Science / Business Statistics/ Computational Mathematics / Elementary Mathematics / Elementary Statistics.

You have also Study Maths in your 12th examination, those who have done Bridge Course in Mathematics are also eligible to apply for NIMCET Examination.

But you have to scored minimum 60% marks in your Bachelor degree course, only then you are eligible for NIMCET Examination, and you have failed to score minimum 60% Marks in your Graduate degree course, So you are Not eligible to apply for NIMCET Examination. Dear friend,
For applying in NIMCET you should completed 12th with mathematics subject with minimum 60% marks(55% for SC/ST).And you should complete (or final year ) your graduation with minimum 55% according to 2012 eligible criteria.
So you are eligible to this entrance exam.

Dear friend,

Eligibility Criteria for MCA (Master of Computer Applications):-

You must be completed with 60% marks in aggregate in any Bachelors degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities .

Having studied Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or higher level examination.

EXAM DETAILS OF NIMCET:-

Availability of Online Application form: Last week January, 2012

Date of Nimcet12 Examination: Second Week May, 2012

Date of Publication of Result: Last week May, 2012
