Eligibility: B Ed degree. The certificate can not be more than 7 years old. Exam pattern and Scheme: There will be 2 papers with objective multiple choice questions. Each paper will consist of 150 questions. These papers are intended for different levels of teaching as described below: 1. Paper I: For those want to become teachers for classes I-V. 2. Paper II: For those want to teach classes between VI and VIII. 3. Paper I and II: Those interested in teaching from Class I to VIII will have to appear and qualify in both the papers. Syllabus for the TET/ STET: There will be 5 subjects / Sections in Paper I. Each section / subject will have 30 objective multiple choice type questions carrying one mark each. Duration of the exam is one and half hours. Following are the papers: 1. Child development and pedagogy 2. Language I (the medium of instruction) 3. Language II (chosen from a list other than language I) 4. Mathematics 5. Environmental studies |

Teacher Eligibility Test
Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) to be conducted at state level by state boards. Hence it is called State Level Teacher Eligibility Test (STET). Eligibility:- B.Ed degree by the state government/ UT/ Centre. The certificate of B.ed can not be more than 7 years old. There is no limit on attempts. candidates can write any number of times. Exam pattern:- There will be 2 papers with objective multiple choice questions. Each paper will consist of 150 questions. These papers are intended for different levels of teaching. 1. You are asking this question very late because test for This exam will be held on 30th july 2011. for your information- This exam is introduced by our government this year. Candidate who want to teach in schools they have to pass this exam.without passing this exam student can't teach in the schools.The purpose of this exam is to provide quality education for students. This exam consists two papers- First paper-For those want to teach only I-IV class student. Second paper-For those student who wants to teach only IV-VIII students. Candidate who want to teach I-VIII class student they have to appear in both tests. Teacher Eligibility Test for Teachers Recruitments- Minimum Qualifications for Classes I-V: * Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks in final 2–year Diploma in Elementary Education * Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks in final 4–year Bachelor of Elementary Education * Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks in final 2–year Diploma in Education Finel year appearing student can also apply. Minimum Qualifications for Classes VI-VIII: * B.A. /B.Sc Diploma in Elementary Education * B.A. /B.Sc. with at least 50% marks in 1–year Bachelor in Education * B.A. /B.Sc. with at least 45% marks in 1–year Bachelor in Education. Final year appearing student can also apply. These qualification student are eligible to appear. |

As per the announcement of eligibility criteria of Central board of Secondary education is -
1.eligibility criteria for class (1 to 5th) i)Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 2 years diploma in elementary education . or ii)Senior secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 4 year diploma in elimentary education . 2.Eligibility criteria for class (vi to viii) i)BA/B.Sc or pass appearing in final 2nd year diploma in elementary education . or ii)B.A. / B.Sc with at least 50% marks and passed of appearing in 1 yr. bachelor in education . or iii)Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 4 yrs. B.A. / B.Sc. Ed or B.A. (Ed.) / B.SC (Ed.) . There is no upper age limit for the exam . The certificates should not be more than 7 years old. Thank you |
