Am I eligible for UPSC if doing BSc Agriculture from ICAR recognized college not UGC?


Sir, I am doing bsc agriculture .Our college is ugc recognized and not recognized by icar so i am i eligible for upsc exams ?please reply

Yes, you are eligible for UPSC if doing BSc Agriculture from ICAR recognized college not UGC. Eligibility criteria for UPSC exam is that:-

The candidate must have at least a bachelor's degree from a recognised university to take the UPSC exam. Even those candidates who have written the final year exams of the qualifying exam (bachelor's degree) and are awaiting results can apply.

Some students have a misunderstanding that doing B.Sc Agriculture from a non ICAR affiliated college makes them ineligible for appearing in exams held for government jobs. But it is not so. Students can appear for exam such as UPSC (IFS), SSC, IBPS (AO), FCI, NABARD, NDDB, etc.
