Hello Sir, I know that B.Tech Food Technology comes under Agriculture stream so is ICAR recognition compulsory to study this course? Many Universities like VIGNAN University are UGC recognized so if I study in this university will I be eligible for a government job?

UGC is the regulating body of universities in India. So the UGC recognition is enough to pursue any course in that university and you can apply for government jobs too. Institutes like Lovely Professional University, SRM university etc are offering courses in Food technology.agriculture etc.. They are UGC recognized and thus the students are getting jobs in both private and government sector.

It will be good if you take admission in ICAR recognized colleges. Only students who have passed out from an ICAR recognized university can join jobs in the government sector. REPLY
