I have completed my B.Com and want to apply for Teacher's Aptitude Test (TAT 2018). I want to ask whether B.Ed is compulsory to attend TAT or not? Or, can I apply on the basis of my graduation only?

You need to have a B.ED degree in order to apply for T.E.T (Teaching Eligibility Test), as the eligibility criteria to apply for the T.E.T exam is B.ED.

You can not apply if you do not have a B.ED degree, so first complete B.ED and then you can apply and appear in T.E.T test. To apply B.ED course test you need to have a Bachelor's degree in any stream. After filling application form you will have to appear in the admission test, post qualifying which you will be granted admission in the B.Ed course which will be of 2 years duration.

TAT stands for Teacher Aptitude Test.

Eligibility criteria for TAT exam:

Academic qualification: Bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized university.

Bachelor of Education qualification is also mandatory. You can not apply for TAT without B.Ed qualification.

You should have at least 50% marks in bachelor's degree.

For recruitment as TGT ( Trained Graduate Teacher ). The required qualification to become teacher is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university and have B.Ed from a recognised university.

But, if you have diploma qualification then you can appear in examination for selection as Primary Teacher.
