I have completed my BCA in Sikkim Manipal University...So is this degree is valid for Govt. Bank exams in India????

yes BCA degree is valid for bank examination. this year IBPS examination is conducted for BANK recruitment for which any graduate degree candidates are eligible. so BCA pass candidates are also eligible. you have done your graduation from Sikkim Manipal University it does not matter. because any student completed graduation from any university approved by government are eligible to appear in Bank examination.

so don't worry try to be prepare for bank examination. at the time of form fill up fill up the application form after verifying all the eligibility criterion for the examination. if you are eligible then only apply for the examination and appear in the examination.

Basically the bank jobs are the two type:
1.clerical level
2.officer level

Eligibility criteria for the bank exams as follows:
1.Graduates
2.Post Graduates

4.MBA's

Age limit: 21-26 years
Anyone in the age group of 18-26 years having a degree is eligible for appearing in the written test.

Examination pattern:
Paper I is a written test comprising of General Mental Ability (Objective type).

Yes, BCA from Sikkim Manipal University are eligible for BANK PO exam.

Those candidate have completed their graduation degree from any recognized university are eligible for BANK PO exam.

They are not require any kind of percentage marks in graduation for this time.

But your age must be in between 20 to 30 years.Age relaxation is provide only for SC/ST/OBC candidate .For Sc/ST candidate have age relaxation is 5 years and for OBC candidate it is 3 years.

BANK PO exam consist of two steps 1) Written test 2)Personal Interview.

For written test you must be prepare for mathematics and general knowledge.Also you must have basic knowledge computer field.

Every bank set their own criteria .So it is not perfect criteria all BANK PO exam.

A new restriction has been imposed on the number of attempts for the candidates. For general number of attempts is 4, for OBC it is 7 and for SC/ST

Yes, BCA degree is completely valid to apply for bank exams.

To apply for clerical grade, one need a higher secondary degree, while to apply for officers post, one need a graduation degree from a recognized university.

And BCA is also a graduation degree.

And Sikkim Manipal University is also a recognized university. It is recognized by UGC.

So you can apply for any Bank jobs, if you fulfil all the criteria, not only in academic qualification but other criterions like age, domicile, experience (if required) etc.

Here are the details criteria for bank examinations :

BANK PO CRITERIA :

The candidate must be a graduate from a recognized university.
The candidate must carry minimum 60% marks in graduation.
The age of the candidate must be within 21 to 30 years.
No active backlogs are allowed here.

BANK CLERK CRITERIA :

The candidate must complete 12th standard examination form a recognized university.
The candidate must carry minimum 60% marks in 12th standard.
The age of the candidate must be within 18 to 28 years.

Eligibility criteria :-
1)Education :-

Bank PO - Graduation with 60% marks , under recognised university.

Clerical POST - 10+2 with 60% .

2)Age limit -

Bank P O - 21- 30 years

Clerical Post - 18-28 years.

IBPS will be conducting the Common written exams which will be held in online mode for 20 Government banks for the PO posts

But study is little bit hectic which you need to do well and clear it. But once you clear it then you will be in permanent job with good payment for life time till your retirement. You can even try for other public sector companies for trainee position, you will have written test and interview for that also. If you clear it then you can good career.

It is not at all a problem for you of completing your Graduation in BCA from Sikkim Manipal University.

You can apply for various bank job opportunities on the basis of your BCA as the highest academic qualification.

The various positions for which you can apply for in public sector banks will be
-Clerical positions
-Probationary Officers

The selection procedure would include
Written Exam
Interview

The written exam consists of questions from the following sections
Reasoning
Quantitative Aptitude
General Awareness
General English
Computer Knowledge

You have to secure minimum qualifying marks in each of these sections. Then only you will get through written test.

There is negative marking for the wrong answer questions which is 1/4th in the sense for every 4 wrong answers that you attempted, 1 mark from the actual marks that you scored will be deducted.

After getting through written test, if you score is more than the minimum cut off marks,then you will get a call for Interview

As per eligibility criteria,

You should have completed your Graduation to apply for Clerical positions.

But to apply for PO positions, you should have completed your Graduation with a minimum of 60% of marks.

The required age will be
20-28 years of age for the candidates of General category for Clerical positions and it is 20-30 years of age for PO positions.
