fee structure for these colleges -
Please fill in the application form for admission to LSR College. The application form attached to the Prospectus 2009 or the DU common admission form may be used. We advise that you use the LSR application form especially if you are applying for the Written Test. The name on the application form must tally with the name on the Date of Birth Certificate.

The application form and fee structure are available in the new Prospectus 2009, which will be available at the College from MONDAY, 01 June 2009 onwards. The cost of the Prospectus is Rs. 300/- (Prospectus + plus postal charges). The amount may be sent by demand draft in the name of Principal, Lady Shri Ram College for Women.

You must indicate your preference for 3 courses on each form. There are two sets of reference codes; one for subjects studied in Class 12 and another for the courses you wish to apply for. Fill in all the subjects you are applying for with the correct code marking as indicated in the application form.

We suggest you fill in the marks of all the subjects you have studied in the last qualifying examination, even though the admission list is prepared on the basis of English and three best elective subjects. Along with English, you can include a second language to calculate your ‘best four total’ provided the mark sheet states clearly that the second language is an elective course.

LSR will display the first cut-off list on the date announced by the University, on the College notice board and on the website. If your name appears on that list, check the date and time allotted for your interaction with the admission in-charge of your department. The applicant has to personally present herself to the admission in-charge for the interaction. Name on the list does not guarantee admission. Admission is subject to the name appearing on the list and a verification of all certificates and deposit of the appropriate fees.

All admissions will be provisional and subject to confirmation by the University of Delhi.

On admission, candidates are required to submit all original certificates on the same day and pay the fees in cash. The candidates must submit the following original documents along with one photocopy of each at the time of taking admission:

i. Date of Birth certificate or Secondary School or equivalent Examination Certificate clearly stating the date of birth.

ii. Original Mark-sheet issued by the Board / University.

iii. Character Certificate from the Head of Institution last attended.

iv. Two passport size photographs should be pasted on the College Enrolment Form and another submitted to the office on the day of the interaction after the admission is finalised.

v. SC/ST/OBC certificates wherever applicable.

vi. Students who have not studied Hindi up to Class X are required to produce class VIII Mark Sheet as evidence of having/not having studied Hindi up to class VIII.

vii. Physically handicapped certificate

Note: In case a candidate is found to have submitted fake certificates, the admission will stand cancelled and the fees will not be refunded.

APPLICATION FORMS

We have provided a specimen application form, which may be downloaded from the link given at the bottom of the page and used as a guide. Please read the instructions at the end of the form and also the LSR Reference Codes for various courses and subjects. Candidates may use the common application form of Delhi University or the LSR application form available in the Prospectus 2009. The LSR application form may also be purchased separately from the college for Rs. 10/- commencing from 01 June 2009. We prefer you to use the LSR form for ease of handling and processing on the computer.

An online LSR application form will be uploaded here on 02 June 2009. Candidates living beyond Delhi and neighbourhood (viz. Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon, NOIDA etc. form part of Delhi neighbourhood) may use this form and send it to us as an e-mail attachment for consideration.

ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS

Original documents will be retained by the college. In case a candidate withdraws the original certificates, her admission will stand cancelled. In case a candidate requires the original certificates for a few days for any reason, she should meet the S O (Admin) with a written request and take permission for the same.

Admissions under the OBC Category

All students applying for admission under the OBC Category must check the college notice board for information pertaining to admission requirements for this category.

In addition, as per Delhi University guidelines all students applying under the OBC Category must:

i. Fill in the OBC Certificate No. in the application form.

ii. Attach a photocopy of the OBC Certificate to the application form.

iii. The OBC Certificate should clearly mention that the applicant does not belong to the creamy layer.

iv. If the OBC certificate is in the name of the parent of the candidate at the time of the admission, the following will apply:

a) The candidate will have to submit a copy of receipt showing that she has applied for OBC Non-Creamy Layer Certificate in her own name.

b) The candidate will have to provide an undertaking stating that she will submit the OBC Non-Creamy Layer Certificate in her own name before 16th July'2009.

c) The Admission will be provisional, subject to the verification of the OBC Non-Creamy Layer Certificate through proper channels.

ATTENTION: Applicants for English (Hons.)

Functional English is treated at par with Core English. The LSR Code for both these subjects is 01. If an applicant is filling in Elective English as a subject (Code 02), the marks sheet must clearly state either Literature in English or Elective English. If the marks sheet indicates only English, then please enter the marks as Code 01. There is no written test for English.
