His 12th result was 90% in all, and 79% in PCM ( P-90%, C-78% and M - 69%)

Please advise if he is eligible for appearing in next BITSAT

(BITS) Pilani, Rajasthan is one of the best institutes of India.

The next exam of BITS will be held totally computer based online test.
there are some rules for online test,you have to download the application
form their home site http://www.bitsadmission.com/ and print out of
the form.

Eligibility Criteria:
1.You have to pass from a recognized Central/State Boards or its equivalent with Physics,Chemistry ,Math as well as English must.

2.You have to pass from English medium school.

3.80% marks in aggregate and at least 60% marks in
each of Physics,Chemistry,Math.

No....atleast 80% in pcm is required to fulfill the eligibility criteria.....

Sorry but he wont be eligible for BITSAT since the minimum percentage required for BITSAT is 80.00%

Anyways i think he has good capability as he has scored so well in 12th. So hard luck try for other exams like AIEEE

Sorry below 80 % eligibility can't be entertained

the required eligibility Criteria for appear in BITSAT exam is given below:

1.You have to pass from a recognized Central/State Boards or its equivalent with Physics,Chemistry ,Math as well as English

2.80% marks in aggregate and at least 60% marks in
each of Physics,Chemistry,Math.

so on the basis of above criteria you are eligible for this exam.so go ahead.prepare well for this exam.make command over syllabus of BITSAT.

Birla Institute Of Technology And Science(BITS) organize BITSAT exam for admission to Bachelor Degree

for the candidates.

Eligibility Criteria :-
Candidates should have to pass the 12th standard or equivalent from a recognized Central or State

board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as main subjects means PCM.

Minimum marks required : Candidates must have to get a minimum of aggregate 80% marks in Physics,

Chemistry and Mathematics subjects in 12th examination, with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics,

Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects. Also candidate should have good knowledge in English.

Students who are appearing for 12th examination in the running year or who have passed 12th

Examination in previous year only are eligible to appear in the BITSAT test.

If a candidate has taken more than one attempt in 12th class or its equivalent, only his latest performance is considered.

Direct Admission :- It is only given to the Board Toppers.

So, I think as your marks in 12th result was 90% in all, and 79% in PCM ( P-90%, C-78% and M - 69%) you are eligible for the exam.

last date for form fill up : 30th January 2010.

So, if you are not still apply then for this year your chance is over. You have to try for other options like :
try to admit in other colleges, if you have valid AIEEE score then you can go for Engineering etc.

Dear friend!

No, he is not eligible for BITSAT because one must have 80% in PCM. He doesn't have any other chances left with him. But if he is category candidate he may have the chance for being eligible.

But if he is not please try other exams AIEEE, IIT-JEE, etc. His marks are proving that he has something to work and he will have a bright future.

If a person is appearing for 12th then what should be the minimum percentage. Is it then based on 10th class result

overall % in 2010 is 72% but pcm is 77%. am i eligible to apply for bitsat 2011

bits wants only 80 percent in aggregate
and 60 percent in pcm

Since the minimum marks required in PCM for BITSAT 2011 is 80%, and your marks in PCM is 79%, you will not be eligible for BITSAT 2011.

my overal percentage is 82% but in pcm my aggregate is 79% am i eligible for bitsat

I HAVE GOT 78% IN PCM AND 88% AGGREGATE LAST YEAR.AND I HAD ALSO GIVEN C.B.S.E. IMPROVEMENT OF PERFORMANCE FOR MATHS AND EXPECTING TO RAISE MY TOTAL IN PCM TO 87% PLEASE TELL IF I AM ELIGIBLE FOR BITSAT.

In 12th i got 75% in PCM and in 11th i got 92% in PCM. And in my 12th my overall percentage is 79.81%. I have a doubt that if i am eligible for bitsat 2011 or not

Eligibility Criteria for BITSAT Exam

For admission to any Integrated first degree programmes of BITS the candidate should have passed the 12th class examination of 10+2 system from a recognize central or state board or its equivalent with PCM. Further the candidate should have obtained a minimum of 80% aggregate marks in PCM in 12th class examination, at least 60% marks in each of the physics, chemistry and mathematics subject.

If you have 79% aggregate marks in the PCM subject in the 12th exam
then according to eligibility criteria you are not eligible for BITSAT exam.
So i advise you to apply another examination.

The candidate should have completed their 12th from a Recognized Board Or Equivalent Qualification and the candidate should have a minimum 80% Marks In Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics Subjects In 12th Examination.
Or
The candidate should have a minimum 60% Marks In each of the Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics subjects.

Those who are Appeared Or Appearing for 12th Examination are Eligible to Appear In BITSAT-2011 Exam and Admission will be made purely on merit.

So,I think you are Eligible for BITSAT Exam.

are the aggregate marks for bits 2012 admission for AP board of intermediate calculated for12th year that includes PCM,english,sanskrit(for 530 marks i.e. including practicals or for 470 marks)? please let me know as soon as possible.
