BITSAT Mathematics papers
BITSAT is a well known engineering entrance test of India. The pattern of the BITSAT mathematics paper is given below:
The number of questions in mathematics section is 45. Apart from mathematics there are sections on physics, chemistry and English proficiency and logical reasoning. In all there are 150 questions in the exam.
The questions are multiple choice types. They have four options of which only one is correct. Each question carries 3 marks. There is a negative marking of 1mark for each wrong answer. Un-attempted questions are not awarded any marks.
For reviewing later, candidates can skip or mark question. The answers can be changed by going back to any of the 150 questions, but multiple answers are treated as wrong attempt. The duration of the test is 3 hours, but no limit is there on individual parts. The instructions and the questions in the paper are given in English only.
The BITSAT also provides 12 extra questions for the candidates who answer all the 150 questions without skipping any of the questions. Four questions each are from physics, chemistry and mathematics. But when a candidate opts for extra questions he cannot go back to check the answered questions.
There is a unique paper for each candidate in the exam.
