Preparation for NIFT exam

In the NIFT entrance examination the question paper basically consist
of the 11th and 12th course from PCM. So first you clear the basic
concept of 11th and 12th of physics, chemistry and mathematics.
I give you some good book name of physics, chemistry and mathematics.

Physics :- Pradip fundamental physics, H.C Verma,
Chemistry :- NCERT, O.P Tandon.
Mathematics :- R.S Agrawal, M.L Khana.

You can also do practice from the previous year paper of NIFT.
It is helpful for you. If your basic concept of class 11th and 12th
of PCM is clear then i think that you will get surely success in the
examination.

NIFT Exam Details:-

Full form of NIFT is National Institute of Fashion Technology. To study in any one of the NIFT centres you need to sit for the NIFT entrance examination. You can give this exam to pursue both undergraduate course and postgraduate course.

If you want to pursue B.Des then you need to pass higher secondary examination or its equivalent from a recognized institution. If you are a diploma holder then also you can apply for this exam provided it has been done from a recognized institution. The upper age limit for this exam is 23 years.

If you want to pursue B.FTech. (Apparel Production) then you need to pass higher secondary examination or its equivalent from a recognized institution with Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Apart from this the diploma holders can also apply for this exam and in this case as well the upper age limit is 23 years.

The selection procedure slightly varies from one programme to the other. While for B.Des programme you need to go through the following two stages: General Ability Test (GAT) and Creative Ability Test (CAT), for B.FTech programme the following hurdles needs to be crossed: General Ability Test (GAT) and Managerial Ability Test (MAT).

For GAT stress on the following areas:

• Quantitative Ability
• Communication Ability
• English Comprehension
• Analytical Ability
• Business Domain Test
• Thematic Apperception Test

NIFT entrance exams are based on class 9th to 10th level... only few questions are asked from matrices and determinants,which is nt a big deal .. and nothing else...... the best book for GAT paper is study package for NIFT/NID/IIFT.... and for CAT preapare yourself.... or buy books of CAT prepration... algebra,ratio and proportions,distance,work,percentage,profit and loss are few syllabus for GAT TEST.... best of luck guys
