CDS means Combined defense entrance exam .UPSC conducts this exam twice every year for selecting candidates for the different academies of defense like :

1.Indian military academy:19-24 years

2.Indian Naval academy:19-22 years

3.Indian Air force academy:19-23 years

4.Officer's training academy:19-25 years.

Bachelor's degree in any discipline is the minimum requirement from a recognized university for the IMA and OTA and for IAF ,maths and physics at 10+2 is necessary.For INA ,bachelor's degree in engineering /technology is required.
