Re: Can a 9th standard student attempt IAS entrance exam?
Hi Prachi,
Its very nice to know your dream at such an early age. For your benefit keep the habit going on of learning current affairs and basic knowledge. It will help you one day definitely. But you can not give IAS exam now. For that you have to first complete schooling, then graduation and after that only you can apply for Civil services exam to become an IAS. |

Re: Can a 9th standard student attempt IAS entrance exam?
Hi
Its good to see that you are thinking about the IAS exam at this age. But as per the eligibility criteria of IAS exam you will apply only when you are graduate. So you are not eligible for this exam at this stage. You have to complete first your 10th then 12th and at last graduation. After that you are eligible for this exam. But don't worry keep yourself up to date by reading news papers, GK books as these things will be helpful for you in your IAS exam. For your knowledge I have written the eligibility criteria for the IAS examination. Age limits : 21-30 years Educational Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree of a recognized university. So study hard for your board examination and always try to get detailed knowledge of each and every thing these things are helpful for you in the IAS exam. GOOD LUCK |

Dear Prachi,
Its really nice to see your interest in the IAS Entrance Exam right from the 9th standard. But my friend, sorry to say as you cannot appear in the IAS Entrance exam before completing graduation from any UGC recognized University. This is because the minimum educational qualification required for the IAS Exam is graduation in any stream from any recognized college/university. So candidates below the minimum educational qualification cannot appear in the IAS Exam. Anyways , here i have prvided you the complete eligibility criteria for the IAS Exam : * you must have completed graduation in any stream from any recognized college/university. * You can also apply if you are in final year of graduation. * Your age should lie in between 21-30 years. * There is also a relaxation in upper age of 3 years for those belonging to OBC Category and of 5 years for those belonging to SC/ST category. * Number of attempts allowed : For General Candidates : 4 For OBC Candidates : 7 For SC/ST Candidates : No Limit So , i adivise you to first complete graduation in any stream from any recognized college/university after that you can appear in the IAS Exam. This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want. |
