I want know about that ....Can AMIE student give IAS/PCS exams or not after complition of AMIE. Please tell me about that.

Yes ofcourse you can. AMIE is considered as a degree equivalent to BE. So you can apply for AMIE and then after successfully completing it you can answer IAS or PCS

An AMIE course makes you a thoroughly competent Engineer and you can enter the profession as a Professional Engineer. It not only make an engineer but also makes you eligible for all the jobs/exams for which a normal graduate or an engineer is eligible.
Hence you are free to apply in any PSUs or for IAS/IES exam.

so u r free to apply for IAS and PSu exams..

hi friend, to appear for a civil services exam you should be a degree holder, it might be PG or UG, the optional papers which you choose matters alot in competitive exams. thank you...

yes offcourse you can apply for exams like IAS or PCS. AMIE is considered very near to engineering degree as it is equivalent to b.e. for ias you should be a graduate and your amie degree fulfills this criteria and makes you elligible for these exam. good luck

Maximum PSUs excluding NTPC are asking for full time regular coarse for their GET & MT. So kindly confirm me wheather AMIE Degree are eligible for the GET & MT of PSUs asking for full time regular coarse with necessary proof from AICTE/IEI.

Yes you are eligible for both the exams IAS/PCS after completing your course because AMIE is equivalent to BE or B. tech.

Eligiblity criteria:
For IAS and PSC you should have Graduation degree from a recognized university.

Please NOTE:For PSC you must have,No candidate shall be eligible for appearing in the preliminary examination, unless he has passed the Matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi language.

I read magzine carrier360 that HRD(Human Resource Devlopment of India ) will decide, will AMIE or other degree holder elligible in cetral govt. services or not in March 2013?
