I am doing bca final , can i give the gate entrance test or is this test will be accepted

hello sir,
i am a jaya lalwani ,i studed in dayanand college atb.c.c.a second year , what can i apply for this net / set exam.
this test will be accepted or not.

you are not eligible for GATE exam.

As it's eligibility is B.Tech/MCA/MSc.

After your master degree you are able for GATE exam.

B.Tch is considered to equivalent to MSc./MCA that's why

MCA's/MSc.'s are eligible.

So do your masters first then appear for GATE

you are BCA student so you are eligible after MCA or pre final or final year of MCA

so please complete you BCA after that you can do MCA by qualifying exam JECA ,

the GATE eligibilty is given below

1.minimum graduation in engineering.

final year & prefinal year btech students are allowed to attain in the gate exam.

2.after msc doing msc. students are also eligibile to attain in the gate exam.

there have not any age limit to attain in the gate exam.

so you are not eligiable for gate exam.

Sorry to say that you are no eligible for GATE exam.

First you have to take admission in MCA then you will be eligible for GATE exam.

Only BE/B.Tech or master degree student can appear in GATE exam.

So kindly first take admission in MCA after completion of your BCA then apply for GATE.

no after bca you can apply for gate you have to do mca.then you can do m.tech through gate ok

no my dear only how are having Master's degree holders in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes are elligible

in order to give gate you should be engineering background.

I M DOING BCA FINAL , CAN I GIVE GATE ENTRANCE TEST

Sorry,you are not eligible for the GATE exam because you are in BCA. You are having enough time still to compete for GATE exam. Complete your BCA and do MCA then you can apply for GATE exam

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national level examination which is conducted by eight zones such that One Indian Institute of Science(IISc),Bangalore and the Seven IITs(Bombay,Kharagpur,Kanpur,Guahati,Roorkee,Madra s,Delhi).

According to the Eligibility of the GATE:

1:You should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology or Architecture or Pharmacy of 4 years after 10+2.

2:You can also apply if you are in the final or pre-final year examination of the Master Degree.

or
3:You have to be a Master degree holders in any branch of Science like Physics,Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Applications etc....

4:You can also apply if you are in the final or pre-final year examination of the Master Degree.

So, I think you can not be able for the GATE exam, but don't worry after completing the BCA course you will be able,so be prepared for the GATE properly.

You are not eligible for the Gate as the minimun qualification is engineering.
You can do post graduate in your field (MCA) and then apply for the gate.

only these candidates can apply ..

• for Gate as there is no age limit
• and no number of attempts defined in GATE exam..
• and also there is no minimum percentage criteria ,

the only thing needed is talent and hard work to crack the GATE..


gate marks are applicable for all colleges and it is valid for 2 years ..

You need to get your UG engineering degree. Diploma students are not eligible.

GATE exam can appear only the candidate who have complete four year graduation course in Engineering.
And even MCA & MSc candidate can also apply.

As you are not belong any one of the above mentioned,so you are not eligible to apply for GATE exam.

No, You cannot appear for the GATE exam after BCA as The Eligibility for the GATE exam is as under-

No, BCA Students are not eligible to apply for GATE Examination.

Because to apply for GATE, You need 4 year bachelor degree or you have to complete your master degree.

So, i will suggest you, just complete your post graduation first, only then you are eligible to apply for GATE.

To apply for GATE, You have to complete your Bachelor degree in Engineering, Technology, Architecture (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes are also eligible.

And Master degree holders in any branch of Science, Mathematic, Statistics, Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final year of such programmes are eligible to apply for GATE.

sorry u aren't elligible for GATE examination as You need 4 year bachelor degree to complete your master degree.

if u are interested in giving GATE examination i will recommend u to first complete btech then go for GATE examination so thta u can pursue your mtech .

else go for mca as u have completed the bba.

The candidates with following academic background are eligible to appear in GATE 2011 Examination:

you are not eligible to write GATE exams as you are doing BCA. After compliting BCA you will go for MCA. Then you will be eligible for GATE exam.

No you can not apply for GATE exam...

Because you are in BCA and to give GATE you have to fit in any of the following category...

1. Bachelor degree holders in Engineering/Technology/Architecture
2. Master degree holders in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Applications
3. Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology

So for you these options are available-------

1. To give GATE first do B.tech.
2. give CAT, MAT, XAT for MBA
3. give JECA, TANCET, NIMCET, AIMCET for MCA.
4. go for any master's degree course like M.sc

gate exam are meant for the technical background students .....
its eligibility criteria is that you should have completed your b.tech degree or b.e degree from any recognized university or college with minimum of the 60% of the marks ....

as you are BCA students so according to me you cannot apply for the gate exam .....

As you know for appearing into the GATE exam you must have at least pre final year of engineering or equivalent.
As you are in BCA final year so you are not eligible for appearing into the GATE.
However after completion of BCA you can take admission in MCA . After completion of MCA you can appear for the GATE examination.

GATE examination is conducted every year for the M.tech courses.
