hello respected sir/madam, i am a 2nd year electronics and communication student, i wanna pursue my career in aeronautical engineering...so i wanna write gate exams in aeronautics.so could u please send me the question papers of previous years..!! also i want to know, can i write the exams in my third year.. ?because i have already started preparing for it....

Yeah, yo can very well do your GATE exam in your third year of engineering, because GATE score is valid for two years, and you have no restrictions in number of attempts for GATE, so prepare well and go ahead, all the best...

no you are not elligible for gate exam because you will be sturdying in 3year in b.tech so you will be apply for gate exam after complete your 3rd year so you will be appear for gate exam and minimum percentage is 70%. if it is clear so you are elligible for gate exam

As you a student of 2nd year, i would like to inform you that the validity of GATE score card is two year, So you can appear in GATE exam when you will be in 3rd year.

& it is very good for you to start preparation for GATE in this time.
& in this year, GATE questions will be set by IISC, bangalore.
so, i kingly suggest you to take preparation very well. & first you should clear your basics about your subjects then you can follow some materials available in market like Brilliant tutorials, GATE forum etc.

final year & prefinal year btech students are allowed to attain in the gate exam.

there have not any age limit to attain in the gate exam.

Yes, you can prepare for GATE examination from third year, it is better to prepare such type of examination in such an early stage.

GATE score is valid for the period of two years, hence in case you get better percentile in third year , you will be eligible to apply in your final year on behalf of this score.

yes, You can write GATE in 3rd year of your B.Tech. In fact it will be an added advantage
for you. What i mean to say is you can write GATE for two times ie., in 3&4years.

The best performance of two will be considered for your admission. By this means, you can
be more sure that you can get a sure shot in GATE for admission into aeronautics.

yea you may appear in GATE in 3rd year. GATE score card is valid for two years. so if you can do a good score in 3rd year you may use to take admission after your completion of your B.Tech. so you should be prepared from now.

Yes, a candidate is eligible for writing GATE paper from 3rd year(5th) of engineering or equivalent.
As GATE paper contains the syllabus till fifth semester so you are eligible for writing gate paper. The score card will be valid for two years so if you scored good in this time them you can take admission when you will pass the B.Tech.
So prepare well for GATE which will held on 13th feb 2011.

yes you are eligible to give the GATE exam..and moreover your score card will remain valid even after you complete your graduation..but it may be difficult for you to prepare..because there many subjects of fourth year also ...so to know the question pattern..you can alsways give the exam in 3rd year..

you can not taken the exam in the 3rd year level but you can prepare the interview modules from 3rd year also....better you can go though the website http://www.gateforum.com........

Yes you can apply for GATE EXAM in final year i.e 4th year of Pre-final year that is 3rd year and this is valid for 2 years and again if you are not satisfied with your rank you can reappear for the GATE exam if one is not satisfied with the earlier score. The new score (if better than the old one) will be used for admission.
Students have to apply to individual institutes and get application forms after the GATE results are out. M.Tech. course admission details are advertised in leading newspapers from April 1 till July end. However, some institutes do not advertise and students should approach them directly for the forms. The concerned institute may conduct a written test and/or interview for admission.

Students of M.Tech. are paid scholarships by the Government of India for the entire 18-month period.

Its good that you are writing GATE exam.You can prepare well for it and give the best that you can.Yes you can write in third year as the criteria is that even a final year and pre-final year can write while you are doing your B.E.Remember GATE certificate are valid for only two years.I have attached 2007 question paper.you can refer it.

From this year only students from final year or passed out can sit for GATE exam.B.Tech studentd who are in the 3 rd year can not apply for GATE.
There are no maximum age limit for GATE,you can apply any time,at any age.The rank card will valid for 2 year.

But for now you practice for GATE,read your text books carefully.

When you appear in the exam try to score as much as possible,because if you do M.Tech from any general colleges then it will not help you,but doing GATE from reputed college like NITs,IITs will help you grow your career and give you great jobs.
