You can definitely apply for the Indian Police Service and the Indian Administrative Service through the Civil Services Examination. The requirement here is graduation degree which could be any as long as completed from recognized college.

Therefore you don't need to worry about it and register for the Civil Services Examination. You can register this year. The registration will now only begin next year.

In the meantime you should prepare for the Civil Services Examination. Please remember that it is not an easy entrance exam to clear. Therefore study hard and give yourself at least 8 months to prepare for it.

You can start studies by watching a lot of news and reading newspapers as well political magazines. It will help you in general studies paper that is conducted in preliminary and the main examination.

You can also study NCERT books for Class 12th to prepare for Civil Services Examination. Also decide the optional subjects for Main exam. You will have to select two subjects.

Ideally these subjects should be related to your course or the ones you find easy. Don't go for subjects that you have never studied before.

Download previous years question papers from internet and solve them. You can also take mock tests online. If your English is not good then also start working on it. Even though you can give the exam in Hindi, still there is one written test on English language for which you should be prepared.

Eligibility

1. Must have Indian citizenship else can not appear.

2. Any bachelor's degree will be accepted.

3. There is no percentage criteria.

4. Candidate should be minimum of 21 years to apply for it.

5. Age should not cross 30 years for General candidates.

6. OBC, however can apply up to 33 years.

7. There is 5 years relaxation for SC/ST.

Selection Procedure

1. Preliminary Exam

2. Main Exam

3. Interview
