Re: Can I appear for IIT-JEE being a private candidate of CBSE?
In order to be eligible for the Joint Entrance Examination conducted by the Indian Institutes of Technology, one must have qualified +2 level of examination from a recognized board including Central Board of Secondary Education.
Candidates who have qualified the examination as a private candidate are also considered eligible to take the test. The minimum percentage of marks to be scored in the qualifying examination is 60% for candidates belonging to General category and 55% for candidates belonging to Sc/St category. Then maximum age limit to apply for the IIT JEE is 25 years for candidates belonging to General category and 30 years for candidates belonging to Sc/St category. |
