Can I apply for Indian Railway's Loco Pilot on the basis of Plus 2?
I had completed my Intermediate. I am very well interested in Indian Railway jobs so what should I do to become a Loco Pilot in Railway? Is there any entrance? Can I apply for it on the basis of Intermediate only? Or do I need to study any further?

No. You are not eligible to apply for the post of Railway Loco Pilot only based on your intermediate. You need to study diploma engineering in Electrical or Mechanical or Automobile or Electronics to become eligible to apply for the post of Railway Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP).
Railway ALP Eligibility You must have passed matriculation and apprenticeship approved by NCVT or SCVT from a recognized institute. OR You must have passed diploma engineering in Electrical or Mechanical or Automobile or Electronics from a recognized university. Selection Selection will be based on CBT 1 (Computer Based Test), CBT 2, CBAT (Computer Based Aptitude Test) and Documents Verification. |
