can i apply for nda when i am still studying in 12th? i study in 12th ,but as per the above information i can only apply when passing the 12th,but also on the other hand age limit is fixed 16.5 to 19 and i am of 17....so can i still apply?

Yes after 12th you can apply for NDA exam.......

NDA(National Defence Academy) is conducted two times every year i.e. NDA-I and NDA-II.This exam is conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission).

Educational Qualifications:
•Completion of 12th with PCM from any accredited board.
•Completion of 12th with Arts and Commerce for Army wing.

Candidates who are appearing in the 12th class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination

AGE LIMIT: 16 ½ to 19 yrs as of first day of the month in which course is due to commence.

* Sex:- Male.
* Nationality:- Indian.
* Marital status:- Unmarried or single.
* Physically and mentally fit.

NDA exam is conducted in Three Wings:
Indian Army
Indian Navy
Indian Air Force


If you have completed 12th science from recognized Board then you are eligible for NDA exam In all wings OR If you have completed your 12th std in commerce and arts stream then you are eligible for NDA in only Army wing, final years students also eligible for this exam.....

Age of candidate should be between 16 1/2 to 19 years....

Only Unmarried Male are eligible for it. girls are not eligible for it...

A Candidate have nationality of INDIA...

Last date for receipt of application : 03.06.2013

From this year NDA application form must be submitted by only online system. The fees for NDA exam is 50/- . You can be paid the amount through SBI Debit/Credit Card or by SBI Net Banking or by depositing directly in SBI .
