Respected Sir, I have completed my MBA from Bharathiar University in distance mode. I want to apply for the UGC NET. Kindly tell me can I apply for this eligibility test? Waiting for your response!

Yes, You can apply for UGC NET being a distance MBA holder.

With course you are eligible to apply for UGC NET only if you have completed master degree with minimum aggregate of 55%.

Reserved category candidate can apply with minimum 50% also.

Yes, you can apply for UGC NET even having completed your MBA degree in distance mode provided you have managed to secure at least 55% marks in aggregate (or 50% marks in aggregate in case you belong to SC/ST or PH category) from a recognized university.

UGC NET stands for University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test. It is now conducted by National Testing Agency.

The eligibility criteria for NET exam:

>>Candidate must have done post graduation in discipline in which you want to appear for NET exam.

>>Minimum of 55% marks in master's degree is required to apply for NET exam.

There is no upper age limit for lectureship. If master's degree is done in distance mode, the institute must be approved by Distance Education council.
