I m post graduate m.sc. Maths can i apply for up tet 2012

I have mentioned Uttar Pradesh TET (UPTET)
Qualification and Eligibility criteria below beside this you may also visit U.P TET site for latest informations and detail.
As there are two section first for Teacher of class 1st to 5th and second for Teacher of class 6th to 8th.But as you said you have done post graduation in M.Sc Maths so you apply for any one of it.

For Teachers of Classes
I-V (Paper I):
You should have passed
in Senior Secondary (or its
equivalent) with at least 45
percent marks.
Or
You must done B.Sc. with at least 50
percent marks.

For Teachers of Classes
VI-VIII (Paper II):

You must have done B.Sc and appearing in final 2 year B.Sc. with at least 45
percent marks and passed in Senior
Secondary with at least 50% marks.
Or
B.Ed. with 50 percent in BA
or B.Sc.

Note:I HAVE MENTIONED THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA ONLY FOR YOU AND AS PER YOUR QUALIFICATION BUT THERE ARE OTHER QUALIFICATION ALSO FOR EXAMINATION FOR THEM WHO HAVE DONE GRADUATION OR DIPLOMA IN OTHER STREAM.

Since you have completed post graduation degree in my opinion it would be better to apply for the National Eligibility Test of the UP SET entrance exam instead of Teachers Eligibility Test.

While the Teachers Eligibility Test is conducted for teacher's job in government school, National Eligibility Test is conducted for college lectureship. It is much better option to apply for college lectureship instead of school teaching.

You can appear for National Eligibility Test which is national level exam or you can appear for the UPSET entrance exam which is conducted by the government of Uttar Pradesh for the colleges funded by the state government.


Eligibility

1. The candidate must hold master degree.

2. The degree should be completed with 55 percent marks.

3. SC/ST can appear with 50 percent marks.

4. The candidate can also appear during final year of master degree.

5. You should select NET subject related to PG course.

6. There is no restriction on number of appearences for the exam.

7. There is no upper age limit to apply for lectureship.


For UPTET entrance exam you are only eligible if have completed Bachelor of Education degree as well. The B.Ed is one year long course.


UPTET Eligibility

For Class I to V

1. A bachelor degree along with 2 years course in BTC or NTT.

2. Bachelor degree with 50 percent marks along with B.Ed degree.


For Class VI to VIII

1. Along with graduation degree you must have completed BTC/CT/NTT course.

2. Bachelor degree with 50 percent and B.Ed degree.


The age limit is 21 to 35 years to apply for the UPTET 2013.

Merely having a Graduation or Post Graduation degree will not make you eligible for UP TET.

You must have any of the following Qualification along with Graduation then only you will be eligible for UP TET:

For Class I to V:

Diploma in Elementary Education / 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) / 2 year Diploma in Education in Special Education OR Candidates with BA / B.Sc. with at least 50 percent marks and B.Ed qualification.

For Class VI to VIII:

B.A. / B.Sc with D.Ed. OR B.A. /B.Sc. with at least 45 percent marks and B.Ed with at least 50 percent marks OR Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR BA/ B.Sc.Ed. or B.A. (Ed.)/B.Sc. (Ed.) / B.Ed. (Special Education) with 50 percent in BA or B.Sc

So you must take admission into B.Ed. and complete it with decent marks and after that you will be eligible for UP TET.

After clearing UP TET you will be eligible for Teacher's post in government schools in Uttar Pradesh after counselling.
