Sir,
My name is R.HARI HARAN and i am doing my B.COM in Loyola College Chennai .My aim is to become a police officer but i am wearing glass for past 5 years .please give me a clear suggestoin and i want to do my civil exam

sorry for that
u cannot apply for police jobs
even if u apply there is no chance to pass in medical test even if u pass in physical and mental test
u are completely not eligible for appearing because u are using the sight glasses since 5 years

mainly eye sight is required for firing the Bullets by weapon in the training
and surely u will not reach the target and u may responsible for life loss in departmental persons

You can become police officer and can sit for the civil exams
even if you wear glasses.

Eligibility criteria for IAS exam:
Candidate should have complete graduation degree with any stream from a recognized university.
Age should be between 21 to 30 years for General category candidates,21to 33 year for OBC category candidates,21 to 35 years for SC/ST category candidates

Yes you can. Some agencies do have corrected and uncorrected vision standards. Requirements vary with department. You can certainly wear glasses while on duty all day as a police officer. Check the websites of the agencies that you are interested in getting a job with. If the vision standards are not listed on their site, simply call them and ask. Better eye- 20/20
Weaker eye-20/40

Uncorrected vision

For those who wear glasses or contact lenses must have at least 6/36 vision in both eyes without wearing their glasses or contact lenses. Vision below this is not accepted

In Indiana, to become an officer in a town of 36,000 population or larger, you must have vision correctible to 20/40 or better with soft contact lenses and must actually have at least a 30 day history of using soft lenses. No glasses, no rigid contact lenses. Once hired you can use any vision correction you prefer including glasses. Why does the city population matter? It doesn’t except that all cities of at least that population must comply with the officer hiring standards outlined in Indiana Administrative Code 35 IAC 2

Delhi Police (Appointment & service) Rules, prescribe minimum medical fitness criteria. Unless you are colour blind / suffer from night blindness or that you cannot see much after removing your spectacles (-4 or more), the candidature can be rejected on medical fitness ground.

First of all u need to conform your medical test and if there is any eye sight then you need to consult any eye doctor or you need to fix the eye lense because direct specials are not allowed in IAS that is only if necessary
