Hi, I am Shoeb. I have completed my Diploma in Engineering after 10th without 12th. Now I want to complete my graduation. Shall I do? Or should I get some work experience first than start with B.Tech or BE?

First, thing I would like to let you know that for pursuing a bachelor degree course i.e; a graduation degree course the minimum educational qualification required is a higher secondary school degree or a degree equivalent to same from a recognized institute.

So, having completed your diploma ain engneering degree course you are certainly eligible for pursuing graduation degree course as diploma is a degree equivalent to higher secondary school degree.

Also, being a diploma in engineering degree holder you can even directly go for the option of B.E./B.Tech degree course through lateral entry.

Yes, you can pursue Graduation course after completion your Diploma course even if you have not completed your 12th standard. Candidates who have passed three years Diploma course from a government recognized board are eligible to pursue Graduation course.

Being a Diploma holder, you can get direct admission in second year of four years BE/B.Tech course through lateral entry admission process by appearing in examination like LEET, ECET, JELET, etc., which is conducted by your respective state board of technical education. So, I suggest you to directly pursue Graduation course after completion your Diploma course.

It would be better if you pursue Bachelor's degree in technology before looking for jobs. There are very less jobs available after diploma. Candidates after B.Tech can apply for various government and private jobs.

Diploma candidates can directly get admission in second year of engineering on basis of Lateral Entry Entrance Test scorecard. You should have at least 60% marks in diploma to apply for LEET exam.

You can also apply for JEE exam to get admission in Indian Institute of Technology.

Being a Diploma holder which is considered to be a degree equivalent to a higher secondary school degree you are certainly eligible for pursuing for graduation without going for a higher secondary school degree as for graduation degree any degree equivalent to higher secondary school degree are also acceptable.

So in my point of view you must not pursue higher secondary degree unless the admission in your desired institution for graduation is based on the marks in higher secondary school degree as in case of Delhi University as it would be useless to waste of couple of years of your academic for the degree which is not that much important.

Yes you can do graduation after diploma in engineering without 12th because those candidates who have completed their 12th or equivalent are eligible for graduation.
