I have completed my B.Sc in Chemistry subject and also I had Biology subject in 12th Science. Can I apply for MCA course? If I can't then what are other best alternative short term courses in Computer for me?

The full form of MCA is Master of Computer Application. The eligibility criteria to apply for MCA course is:

1. You must have done bachelor's degree in science, engineering, computer application etc from a recognized institute.

Mathematics at senior secondary level is compulsory.

If you have not studied Mathematics at 12th level then you can not apply for MCA course. The best short term course for you will be Diploma in Computer Applications.

MCA refers to Master of Computer Application and the minimum education required to pursue the same degree course is a graduation degree in any discipline but with Mathematics as one of the subject during Class 12th or graduation degree from a recognised university.

So, having not opted for Mathematics either in Class 12th or in graduation degree, you are not eligible for pursuing MCA degree course.

Further, if you are interested in pursuing Computer courses, then you can simply go for PG diploma courses or various other certificate courses in your interested field of computer.

• Studied Mathematics in 10+2 standard
