my gate score is 311 and all india rank is 21681.ctegory is obc,can i get admission in nit college

Your All India Rank in GATE is not good enough to get assurance of getting admission
in some NIT but it is worth trying for sure.

The admission to M.Tech. program at all the NITs has to be done through a central
counseling process.

The purpose of central counseling is nothing but minimising the no. of vacant seats
so if you are eligible to participate in the counseling
(i.e. if your marks in GATE is more than the GATE qualifying marks of your discipline),
you might get chance in case seats remain vacant.

The central counseling should be conducted in the month of April.
The date to start applying for the counseling has been announced till date but it
should start in the first week of April.
