Dear,

With this rank i don't think you are going to get any good private college also. Government colleges takes top students with rank under 2000 in general. You are far behind that.

I will suggest you not to take admission this year with this rank as you will not get a good college and getting a degree from a C grade college will not help in this competitive environment. You will not stand any where after this. B.tech is very common now a days and thus companies also offer jobs to students from top A or at least a B grade college.

If you will take admission in any college you will not get proper education, job opportunities, environment to grow... so why waste your precious time? If possible try to take a gap for proper and serious preparation if you really want to go in engineering field otherwise you can go for other courses like:

1. BSc
2. BCA
3. Animation...etc

After BSc from any engineering course you can again try for engineering with proper preparation through lateral entry.
BCA is again a good choice as after BCA if you will do MCA then its equivalent to B.Tech or B.E. in CSE /IT. It will give you lots of opportunities.
Animation is again a very growing career now a days and its very interesting too.

So dare to think different from what others are doing and choose what is best for you. Your career is always in your hand don't spoil it with any wrong decision at starting of your career.
