i am ECE 3 rd yr student and have 8.4cgpa can i get place in core company

You have a very good CGPA, so you can expect to be placed in a good core ECE company if you maintain you CGPA at least till the end of your 7th semester. Some of the ECE core companies are listed below:

Industries involved in design and fabrication of devices, integrated circuits, embedded systems, electronic equipments etc have also provide large scale placements for engineers with this specilisation.

If you have a good knowledge in computer hardware, networking equipments and communication systems, then you can even get a good job in IT market.

You can expect a good salary in this field which will vary from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 7 lakh. The salary will grow with your experience.

yes you can get placement in core company after scoring this score but you have to face written examination followed by an interview which is conducted by related company and then you get placed.

Of course , you can get placed in core companies .
Qualification required for the core companies like -Airtel,Idea,Eriction,Nokia,Dell,HCL etc... are 60% to 70% in overall academic carrier .So if you have at least 60% in 10th and 12th then I am sure you can satisfy the eligibility criteria of all the core companies .
The Govt. sector requires only 60% in graduation .So you can go for Govt. jpbs also like -

BHEL
SAIL
DVC
Railway
GAIL
ECIL
EIL

So don't worry about that and concentrate on your study .

and i m sure you will be get placed in core companies
but par of that i want to say that for placements you must prepare for apptitude test and technical questions it will be very helpful to you!

i think you are from reputed collages such as NIT's or IIT's,,BITS etc..................CGPA greater than 8.4 is an just an advantage over other students to get into core companies.......to get into core companies you should have well practical knowledge of core subjects in ECE.....................

if you have good knowledge of core subjects and if you perform well in the interview.......you will surely be selected into any one of the core companies..................

As your marks is very good,so you are easily eligible to top most IT companies.

The Govt. sector requires only 60% in graduation .So you can go for Govt. jpbs also like -
ISRO,BHEL,SAIL,DVC,Railway,GAIL,ECIL.

Yes you can attend for core companies and you have good CGPA but try to increase it more in 3rd and 4th year
