SCRA i.e Special Class Railway Apprentices examination and this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission Once in a year for recruitment into the Mechanical Department in Indian Railways. To apply for this examination the candidate must have a completed Intermediate or graduate from a recognized University with Mathematics as major subjects and must have at least one of following subjects Physics and Chemistry. Candidate who are appearing in the final year of 12th exam may also eligible to apply for this examination.

The candidate must have a minimum 17 years and maximum 21 years at the time of appearing for this examination. Relaxation is applicable for reserved categories. 2014 Exam has been completed and next announcement will be publish in the month of October or November in the official website of UPSC as well as employment news paper.
