Yes, you can continue your studies after a gap.
You can join in 12th class because for studying 12th class there is no age limit and any candidate who have any gap in studies can join in 12th class.

After completing 12th class you can join in ITI course. ITI course is technical course through which you can get jobs in technical fields.
