Yes, you can certainly join Indian Army after qualifying +2 from any recognized institute including National Institute of Open Schooling.
Now, the thing is that whether you want to join Indian Army as an Officer or as an Soldier. In order to become an officer, you will have to join National Defense Academy by qualifying an exam conducted by Union Public Service commission.
After qualifying the exam, you will be undergoing training at the National Defense Academy for a period of three years, after completion of which you will be appointed as an officer in the Indian Army.
As far as eligibility is concerned, you got to be within the age limit of 16 1/2 years-19 years.

Yes your eligible to apply for Indian Army academy After complete 12th Board Examination . You may apply for NDA ( National Defence Academy ) which is conducted by UPSC for every twice in a year .

NDA Academic having three wings namely :- Army academy / Navy Academy / Airforce Academy .

Eligibility criteria for NDA Examination :-

The Applicant should be complete ( senior secondary Examination ) 12th standard or equivalent Examination from recognized university . There is no percentage of marks is not require for NDA Examination . The applicant should be pass marks in all the subjects . final year applicant may also eligible to apply for the Examination .

For Army Academy :- The Applicant should be finished 12th board examination or equivalent examination in any discipline from recognized university . Final year candidate are also eligible to apply for this examination.

For Airforce and Navy academy :- The applicant should be finished 12th board examination science stream with physics ,chemistry ,mathematics from recognized university .

For this Examination the applicant age should not below 16.5 years and Not above 19 years then only your eligible to apply for this Examination . There is no relaxation is applicable for any category candidates .

So , as per the eligibility criteria your eligible to apply for this Examination .

Last date for receipt of application :- 30 / 01 / 2012
Date of examination :- 15 / 04 / 2012

but if you join after graduation then much better chance is for you..

All the central exam conducted by UPSC,India.

After graduation you join as officer post.

Yes, you can join Indian Army wing of NDA after passing 12th from NIOS( National Institute of Open School).

NDA - NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II for entry in to three wings of NDA i.e. Indian Army, Navy and Air Force.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian male within the age of 16.5 to 19 years of age having either appearing for the final 12th exam or passed from any stream from a recognised Central/State Board with good physical fitness is eligible to apply for NDA.

As you are from 12th standard, you are eligible to apply for Indian Army wing of NDA, but you have to go through certain physical standard after passing the written exam.

The process of registration for NDA-I has already been completed the exam will be held on 15.04.2012.

So you can apply for NDA-II which will be held during August 2012, the notification for which will come out in the month of May this year.

The way i can suggest you for entering in Indian Army is to appear and clear an exam named NDA which can be expanded as National Defense Academy exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission commonly called as UPSC. This exam is conducted twice a year. The eligibility for appearing in this exam are

1. You must be a citizen of India.
2. Your age must be above 16.5 years and below 19years.
3. You must have passed your 12th std from a recognized school.
