I have completed my 2nd PUC and wants to join Indian Air Force. Can I join directly on the basis of 2nd PUC results? Or, do I need to write any entrance? Or, do I have to do any engineering degree course? If yes, then in which branch I should I do engineering?

There is no direct recruitment in Indian Air Force on the basis of aggregate in 12th board examination.

Recruitment is on the basis of entrance examination (written, physical and SSB ) etc.

So, you are not eligible for direct selection.You will have to appear and qualify in all stages of examination for the selection.

There is no selection in Indian Air Force only on merit basis of qualifying examination.

Examination is conducted in various stages for final selection.

In some of the entry there is no written test but the physical and interview is mandatory to appear and qualify for final selection.

With PUC qualification, you are eligible to appear for NDA, Group 'Y' and Group 'X' entry.

On the basis of engineering you will become eligible for CDS and AFCAT entry.
