hi friend,
It is true that you can opt ISRO only if you have attained more than 70%(in case of general) or 60%(in case of sc/st) candidates. Your admission will be in ISRO's institute IIST. IIST conducts each year its entrance exam. There are two question papers, each of two hours duration. Both the question papers will be of objective type and will consist of three separate sections on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The detailed syllabi based on which ISAT-2010 will be conducted, for the three subjects, namely, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics will be included in the ISAT. you can see this on website: www.iist.ac.in/IIST/ISAT2010 Last edited by Sushant Roy; 8th September 2010 at 03:47 AM. |

hey , even i want to join ISRO. the procedure to get there is of two paths either crack IIT or a new test started by a new institute directly run by the ISRO, called the ISAT. if you crack the ISAT then you get to do your undergraduation from IIST and get direct admission into ISRO. The eligibility and other criteria can be found at http://www.iist.ac.in/.
best of luck ! |

Dear friend
I am happy to know that you want to go to ISRO Its a good decision and for that you have to crack the IIT-JEE exam and you can go for b tech under the guidance of ISRO Now, there is another option i.e, to write the ISAT exam which is conducted by IIST and you can enter into that course and then can go for ISRO after completing your B tech with good marks. You can also work with ISRO after completing your graduation and writing the PSU's conducted by ISRO good luck friend |

Since your from 12th you can go through the IIT JEE or even through IIST.If you get selected in IIST then ISRO provides you the Engineering course and later you will be absorbed in ISRO as Junior Engineer and go up to senior positions like Scientist with in a short period of time.
you can even apply for the ISRO after completing your B.Tech course from any other University and then attend for the exam conducted by the ISRO.You can refer the following link http://www.isro.ac.in all the best |
