Can I opt for Sociology in UGC NET after MSW?
Hi, I have completed my Master of Social Works (MSW) and now I wish to appear for UGC NET entrance examination. So, can I opt for Sociology in UGC NET?

No you can only apply for a subject you did postgraduation with, go and check your paper code in the UGC website and apply for the exam after that.

Yes, you can apply for UGC NET exam since, you have already completed Masters course i.e. MSW (Master in Social Work).
To be eligible for applying in UGC NET exam, you should have successfully completed Masters Course. Here, you can choose Social Work subject (Subject Code: 10) for UGC NET. |

Yes you can...sociology is a minor paper in MSW so you can write net in sociology
