Can I switch to Electronics branch after appearing in entrance exam for Mechanical branch?
I have completed my Diploma in Mechatronics branch and wrote my DCET exam and got 5000 rank (I wrote exam for Mechanical branch). Now, my confusion is can I select Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) branch for B.E course?

Diploma common entrance test is conducted by the Karnataka state for the lateral entry to various engineering colleges and it is a generalized exam so yes you can apply for electronic branch provided that you have not selected any other branch and enrolled into the course than you will not be eligible for the course
