Candidate seeking to pursue Master of Library and Information Science [MLIS] from Indira Gandhi National Open University [IGNOU], must have completed the bachelors degree program in Library and Information Science or equivalent from a recognized University. Candidates who have working experience in libraries, information centre or other related organisations will be given preference. The minimum duration of the program is one year and the maximum duration to complete the program is four years. As far as the medium of language is concerned the Bachelors degree in Library and Information Science can be pursued in Hindi mode, but as far as the Masters degree is concerned, the programme is offered in English.
