Can a student from non-medical background apply for B.Pharma course?
I am from non-medical background. Can I get admission in B.Pharmacy course? What is the qualification required to join B.Pharmacy course in top colleges in India? If I'm not eligible than what are the other courses related to Pharma I can go for?

The full form of B.Pharma stands for Bachelor of Pharmacy.
Eligibility criteria for Bachelor of Pharmacy course: 1. You must have passed 12th standard either with PCB and PCM. 2. Even if you are from non medical background and studied Physics, Chemistry and mathematics then also you can apply for B.Pharma course. |

No, a student should complete class 12 exam in science stream with PCB or PCMB to apply for B.Pharma course. The eligibility criteria is written below.
BACHELOR OF PHARMACY: ELIGIBILITY Students applying for Bachelor of Pharmacy should have 50% in 10+2 with physics, chemistry and mathematics or physics, chemistry and biology. Students having Diploma in Pharmacyan also opt for this course. |

Yes, non medical background candidates can apply for Bachelor of Pharmacy course. Candidates who have done 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics can apply for Bachelor of Pharmacy course.

No, the student from Non-Medical background is not eligible to apply for B.Pharmacy course. To be eligible to get admission for pursuing B.Pharmacy course, you should have to pass 12th standard or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects from a Government recognised board. As per the information you have mentioned in your query, you are from Non-Medical background, that means you have not pursued Biology subject in your 12th standard, so, you are not eligible to get admission for pursuing B.Pharmacy course.

No, Students with Medical stream or Combine Stream are eligible for this course. The subject biology is required for this field and medical & combine streams are the only streams which have biology.
Students with Non-Medical background are not allowed to opt for any medical related courses but reverse is possible. You have choice to go for further courses like B.Tech/B.E/B.Arch/B.A/B.Sc/BCA etc. |

Non medical background candidates can apply for Bachelor of Pharmacy course if:
Student has studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in senior secondary board examination. Commerce and Arts stream candidates can not apply for Bachelor of Pharmacy course. Percentage of marks in 12th should be at least 50%. Minimum age limit for course is 17 years. |

B-Pharmacy stands for Bachelor of Pharmacy. This is a 4 year Pharmacy course being offered by many of the colleges in India.
Generally the candidates from Science stream are eligible to apply for this Exam. So, the candidates who have completed 12th class with life science subjects like Botany Zoology Physics Chemistry are eligible to join B-Pharmacy course. In addition, the candidates from MPC steam with the subjects Mathematics Physics Chemistry are also eligible to join B-Pharmacy course Candidates from other streams like MPC, CEC and HEC streams are not eligible to join this course. The admission for this course would be given on the basis of performance in the Entrance Exam. There would be state level Entrance Exams to get admission for this course. You can apply for the respective Entrance Exam and crack it with strong preparation. |

No, a non-medical student cannot apply for B.Pharma course as B.Pharmacy deals with medicines and one must have passed Class 12th or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as major subjects with at least 50% Marks in aggregate.
There are others courses available in medicines but all require Biology as the main subject in senior secondary. Other courses are : - B.Sc (Chemistry) - B.Sc (Zoology) - B.Sc (Botany) |

Eligibility to get admission in B.Pharma Course:
Aspirants should have completed their 10 + 2 with either medical or non medical stream. Minimum age should not be less than 17 years in the year of admission. You have completed your 10 + 2 with PCM ,so you can definitely join B Pharma course. |

Yes, you are eligible to do B Pharma course with non medical stream after 12th. Eligibility criteria for B Pharma course is given below:-
- A candidate must pass 12th from recognised board with science stream (both maths and Biology). - A candidate must score at least 50% marks in 12th examination. - Most institutes follows the merit based admission process. - Students, those pass the 3 year diploma in pharmacy (D Pharma) are also eligible. |

Yes, definitely you can pursue Bachelor in Pharmacy 4 year degree course if you have passed your 12th standard with non medical stream. Science students with both the streams either medical or non medical can join this course.

To pursue Bachelor of Pharmacy, a candidate must fulfill following eligibility criteria:
~~He/she should be 10+2 board passed. Candidate should be either from PCM group/PCB subject group. It means that non science stream students are eligible for Bachelor of Pharmacy course. ~~Your percentage of marks must be 50% marks. ~~The minimum age should be 17 years on 31st December of year of admission in bachelor of Pharmacy course. |

You can go for B.Pharma courses or any other medical stream then it is compulsory to have Biology as main subject.
The qualification required to pursue B.Pharma is that candidate must have completed 12th from Science stream having PCB as main subject. But you are from Maths in 12th then you are not eligible to pursue Pharmacy course. You can go for other fields like- Arts Science BCA BBA Hotel Management Fashion Designing |

B.Pharma ( Bachelor in Pharmacy ) is four year duration course and required qualification to pursue the course is that candidate must have passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics.
So, even if you are from non-medical background you are eligible to pursue B.Pharma course. The entrance examination is conducted by various institutes for admission in course. The top colleges for pursuing the course is :- Banaras Hindu University. Bombay College of Pharmacy etc. |

Non medical background candidates can apply for Bachelor of Pharmacy course if they have studied mathematics in 12th. Mathematics subject with science stream is minimum qualification for Bachelor of pharmacy course.
