Sir, I I have completed BA Odia hons followed by B.Ed from IGNOU. So, now am I eligible for TGT? If yes, then when and how can I apply for it? And, if not then what should I do further to be eligible for TGT?

Yes , After doing B.ed from IGNOU in the particular subjects a person are eligible to apply for TGT .

----Yes,you are eligible to apply for TGT even after completion of B.ED from IGNOU board.

--Afte completion of 1 year course of B.ED,you are eligible to join TGT.

-Note:-IGNOU is also a recognized board

IGNOU B.Ed is recognised by both UGC and NCTE. Hence, you are eligible for TGT, but for government schools you need to clear either OTET or CTET. These are eligibility tests for teachers conducted by State government and Central government.

CTET is conducted by CBSE twice every year while OTET is conducted by Board Of Secondary Education, Odisha.
You must clear either OTET or CTET to become eligible for TGT in government schools and some private schools as well.

IGNOU is a recognised university and it is surely Valid for any government school teaching jobs provided you fullfil all other eligibility criteria too.
You need to have b.ed along with TET/CTET scores to apply for such.
