Can we join Merchant Navy after qualifying 12th from Commerce stream?
Hi, I have passed my 12th Board exams from Commerce stream and wish to join Merchant Navy. Am I eligible for Merchant Navy? If not, then what about Indian Army or Indian Air Force? Can I get into any of the 3 wings of Indian Defence?

You are not eligible to get recruitment as Merchant Navy after 12th in commerce stream.
It is mandatory to have passed 12th in PCM for recruitment as Merchant Navy. You can appear for NDA examination and qualify in it for selection as an officer in Indian Army. Examination is conducted in various stages for final selection. For more information about NDA examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in. |
