I am doing my final year microbiology and I would like to know about the entrance exams of central government offered to b.sc microbiology graduates and the job details.

Central Government jobs after B.Sc in Microbiology

Government sector of a lot of career opportunities for B.SC in Microbiology:-

Development labrotries

Hospitals

Pharmaceutical Sector

Food Industry

Beverage Units

Chemical Industries.

After completing B.Sc microbiology, you can only pursue for central govt jobs via competitive examination which will not be related to the course you studied.
The competitive examination such as IAS,IPS,IFS,IES etc. These are civil services examination conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) while students can also join in central govt jobs through SSC(Staff Selection Commission) which conducts CGL(Combined Graduate Level) examination for recruitment in various departments of central govt.

After completing M.Sc in microbiology, you can join as a lecturer in central universities after qualifying NET examination.

After completion of B.Sc in Microbiology, you can apply for central government jobs through Civil Service Exam.

Those candidates who have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university are eligible for Civil Service exam. This exam doesn't require any percentage marks in graduation degree.

Age Criteria:

For General: 21 to 32 years
For OBC: 21 to 35 years
For SC/ST: 21 to 37 years

No. of Attempts:

For General: 5
For OBC: 9
For SC/ST: No Restriction

Selection process for Civil Service exam:

1)Preliminary test
2)Mains exam
3)Personal interview
