Getting a job in any company is not a very difficult task. However, finding a job suitable for the academics that you have studied is quite difficult. Hence, the first and foremost thing to care for here is the academic background that you have based on which you can try looking for jobs.

Talking about your query now which about having less than 60% marks in 12th and around 70% in graduation, there are a few other parameters that come into consideration. They are:

1. Which stream have you studied in your class 12th. If it is Science/Commerce, you still have a good enough chance to make a career by taking up post graduation in some stream. While on the other hand if you have studied only Arts/Humanities, then going forward will be a little difficult since these are creative studies and are done by people who love more of exotic careers such as artist, writers, painters, explorers, etc.

2. What have you done in your graduation is also important since that is what would make you eligible or ineligible for a particular job. If you have done your graduation in a professional course such as B.Tech/Architecture/MBBS etc, then again finding a job should not be very difficult. However, if its in honors courses like English hons, Maths Hons. etc, then again it would need you to go for a masters before you can really get a job.

Now talking of the job market, it is bleak for graduates. In fact, most of the colleges are having a hard time placing their students. However, for example top notch IIT Colleges or the top MBA Colleges seldom have anybody unplaced in them. Because of the quality of education and market awareness that is taught, the students are job ready when they pass out.

Thus, I would urge you to develop some skills and make a good CV/Resume. Upload the same on the famous job portals like naukri, monster, shine, timesjobs and others and see what sort of responses you get. You should also be ready to relocate for certain companies may ask you for relocation.

Also bear in mind that most freshers are not allowed the priviledge to start at the salary they wish. Thus, it would again mean compromise in the beginning and ultimately grow within the company that you are working for.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
